Training:
Isix Training is a comprehensive, specialized program for
first-time to advanced users. The regularly scheduled program is broken into
two classes, which are 2 days each in order to meet your specific needs. After
participating in the classes you will have a proficient knowledge of Isix
to meet your integration needs. These classes are instructor-led by an experienced,
accredited trainer.
Prerequisites
To ensure success, it is recommended that all attendees have a
working knowledge of the following:
Basic
Training
While
it is recommended to attend both sessions, Basic and Advanced, you may attend
one or both classes depending on your desired results. The Basic training will
introduce you to the key components and capabilities of Isix. Through the lecture
and hands-on training you will learn how to create and run data conversions
and interfaces. The following topics will be addressed:

Basic components of Isix
· Pre-Installation configurations
· Product default settings
· User and security settings
· Client and server installations
· Isix Interface Wizard
· Data conversions and interfaces
· Differences between files and queries as data sources
· Report generation and evaluation
· Preview of advanced functionality: source table queries, action lists,
data elements, data element mapping
Advanced
Training
For
more in-depth training that builds on the Basic course, we highly recommend
the Advanced level program. This training will delve into the more complex capabilities
of Isix. You will gain the skill to recognize and solve problems in the more
complex interfaces. Again, through lecture and in-depth hands-on labs the following
topics will be addressed:

Action Lists
· Custom Data Elements
· Log files
· Implementation Mapping and Validation
·
Working knowledge of Oracle Applications Object library (AOL)
· Application navigation, functional and technical knowledge, including data
models
· SQL
· SQL*Plus
· General knowledge of UNIX, including navigation commands and familiarity with
a text editor
· Working knowledge of interfaces and/or conversions
· SQL*Loader knowledge
· PL/SQL knowledge
